The International Day of World’s indigenous people or
"World Tribal day" is observed on August 9 each year to raise the
awareness and protection under the CBSE norms. To develop this feeling for
tribals and their contribution to the society a programme was conducted at
Carmel Convent School, Ujjain.
On August 10, 2023, A Tribal Fancy dress competition was organised for classes 1 to 5. This event
aimed to empower the different tribes all over India. The children participated
with great enthusiasm and were dressed as various tribes of our country. It was
a wonderful initiative to introduce young minds to the rich diversity of our
tribal heritage. The event aimed to foster understanding, appreciation, and
respect for tribal cultures, traditions, and their contributions to our
society. Through this students gained insights into the unique aspects of
various tribes, promoting inclusivity and empathy. This event provided a
valuable opportunity for the youngest learners to embrace the beauty of our
country's tribal heritage, paving the way for a more harmonious and culturally
aware future.
Honorable Dr. Sr. Kripa Maria appreciated the efforts of the
little ones.
