The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Carmel Convent Sr. Sec. School, Ujjain. The event, organised by Class VIII A, commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the chief guest, Advocate Wazid Patel, followed by the National Anthem.
The celebration featured a series of patriotic performances, including dances, poems, skits, and songs that honoured the bravery of our freedom fighters. The NCC cadets impressed with a well-coordinated parade, demonstrating their discipline and dedication.
Mr. Patel addressed the gathering, emphasising the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and exhorting the gathering to uphold the values of unity, patriotism and democracy as emphasized in our constitution. The school’s Principal, Dr. Sr. Kripa Maria, awarded prizes to students for their achievements and encouraged them to dream deep for our Mother India as future leaders of it.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks followed by the distribution of sweets to the students. The celebration made an indelible mark in the minds of all spectators.
