Carmel Convent School, Ujjain, celebrated a spectacular Sports
Day on December 28, 2023, with esteemed guests Sister Ancila, Mr. Saurabh
Bhattacharjee from the Federal Bank of Ujjain, and Mr. Santosh Solanki gracing
the occasion. The day unfolded with a warm welcome, a vibrant song, and the
presentation of a bouquet, setting the stage for a day filled with athleticism.
The event kicked off with the solemnity of the Flag Hosting,
symbolizing the spirit of unity and sportsmanship. The Torch Run and the
Lighting of the Flame added a dynamic and spirited element, setting the stage
for a day of exciting competitions.
Athletes then took the Oath, pledging to compete with
integrity and passion. Mass PT showcased collective fitness, emphasizing the
importance of a healthy lifestyle.
The Chief Guests, Sister Ancila, Mr. Saurabh Bhattacharjee,
and Mr. Santosh Solanki, delivered inspiring addresses, motivating participants
and emphasizing the significance of sports in character-building.
Prizes were distributed for outstanding performances in the
50m Race, Lemon Race, Sack Race, Shotput, and Long Jump for students in classes
VI-VII and IX-XII.
As the day progressed, the intensity rose with the 100m Races
for classes VI-VIII and IX-XII, followed by the challenging 200m Race for the
senior students. The 4x100m Relays showcased teamwork and speed among classes
VI-VIII and IX-XII.
The exciting Group Game "Fill the Bottle" unfolded,
demonstrating house-wise collaboration for students in classes IX and XII. The
event concluded with a heartfelt Words of Appreciation from the Honourable
Principal Dr.Kripa Maria and the Vote of Thanks delivered by Head Boy
Gaurav Disawal, expressing gratitude to all participants, organizers, and supporters.
Congratulations to Esher House for emerging as the overall
winner of the Sports Day! Their dedication, teamwork, and outstanding
performances undoubtedly contributed to this well-deserved victory. The spirit
of Esher House has truly shone bright throughout the various events, showcasing
athleticism and sportsmanship.
