On
the 29th and 30th of August, Carmel School, Ujjain, organised an enlightening
two-day seminar for the parents of students from classes VI to XII. The
seminar, conducted by the esteemed resource person, Capt. Jaison Thomas, aimed
to equip parents with essential skills and knowledge for effective parenting
and dealing with the challenges of raising teenagers.
Capt. Thomas, a seasoned professional in
parenting and career guidance, captivated the audience with his insightful
discourse on understanding the adolescent psyche and fostering open
communication between parents and teens. He emphasised the importance of
providing a supportive environment that encourages teens to navigate their
academic and personal challenges with confidence. Capt. Thomas shared valuable
strategies for helping children explore and identify their passions and
strengths, thus paving the way for informed career choices.
The
seminar was a significant step toward strengthening the school’s commitment to
holistic education by involving parents as active partners in their children's
growth and development.
