“Every girl deserves a chance to shine.”
Carmel
School’s Class 7A hosted a special assembly for Girls’ International Day on
October 10, 2024, to highlight the injustices faced by girl children, under the
guidance of class teacher Laxmi Yadav.
The
event featured a moving skit that told the story of a girl abandoned by her
family, who was later embraced by another family that helped her achieve her
dreams. Students also performed an uplifting song and a lively dance,
celebrating the strength and resilience of girls. As one student remarked,
“When we support each other, we can achieve anything.”
Our
beloved Dr. Sister Principal Kripa Maria praised the students for their
creativity, stating, “It is essential that we provide equal opportunities for
every girl to pursue her dreams.”
This
assembly served as a powerful reminder of the importance of empowering girls
and promoting gender equality within our community.
